~~Mark is Professor of Practice in Economics and Finance commencing this role in July this year. He has a wealth of senior management experience in the public and private sector management.

Mark recently retired from the federal government where he worked for 20 years in number of senior management roles in Canberra in the industry, transport and agriculture portfolios.

His last seven years was in the Senior Executive Service (SES) in the department of Agriculture where he was the executive responsible for enterprise risk, audit, business continuity, business planning and protective security. He’s duties included working with the executive board on its governance, strategic risks, strategic planning, and business and risk analysis and reporting.

Prior to this Mark worked for eight years in management the hospitality industry before commencing mature age study in politics and economics at Murdoch University in Perth in 1988, where he gained a BA Hons and MPhil.

He has PhD in economics from the University of Sydney (2004) is an ANZoG Fellow, GAICD and RMIA member.
