Michael Powell is the Pro Vice Chancellor, Griffith Business School, Griffith University (Australia)

Michael Powell is Professor of Management and Pro Vice Chancellor, Griffith Business School, Griffith University, Queensland, Australia. He was Deputy Dean at the University of Auckland Business School in New Zealand prior to joining Griffith University as Dean of the Griffith Business School in 2005 and was subsequently appointed Pro Vice Chancellor of the Business Group. He led the accreditation process at Griffith Business School, is a member of the Initial Accreditation Committee of AACSB International and Treasurer of the Australian Business Deans Council. He has led the adoption and implementation of a strategic focus on sustainability and corporate responsibility at Griffith Business School over the past several years. He has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of GRLI for the past 3 years. Professor Powell is committed to the development of sustainable businesses, protection of the environment, and responsible leadership.
