1st Report - Sept, 2007

Long version and short version of draft questionnaire ready. Some possible first contacts identified.

However, unexpected uncertainties came up thanks to constructive questioning by participants of the September session.

Conclusion: It seems that the starting-point should better be one step back, the target output should go one step further, and the target-group should be more diverse.

  1. Before trying to find out what good teaching of GRL may look like, try to learn more about good learning, meaning whole person learning.
  2. Translate the characteristics of whole person learning into requirements for good teaching.
  3. Make a survey among business schools and (!) big companies which is not only descriptive: (a) who is involved in teaching activities that are – at least seriously try to be - in line with the characteristics of whole person learning? (b) which schools and companies are ready to be pilots for experimenting with new ways of teaching?
  4. Planning. Pilots. Evaluation. Communication of results (forum on the GRLI website)


Next step:

Look forward to the workshop on whole person learning right before the GA in Leeds in April, 2007.
