Introduction
After discussion with some of the GRLI partners, I propose the following approach to influence accreditation, ranking and rating systems of business schools and corporate universities/learning centers regarding corporate global responsibility.

I also propose that this text should be developed further, so that it can be used for inviting a group of high level academic and business representatives, for the purpose of reviewing how and on what criteria learning organizations are accredited, ranked and rated.

The context
Conclusion No. 1:
There is need for a more thorough impact than what has been achieved so far. Issues regarding the future responsibilities of managers and leaders need to be further elaborated and integrated with the available systems and models of accreditation.

I believe in the strength of a generic approach in proposing changes for the future of accreditation and ranking/rating, rather than focusing on one system, i. e. EQUIS or the AACSB system.

Conclusion No.2:
The group that communicates the need for renewal and changes needs to have high accountability and immediately link to relevant decision making bodies.

The proposal is to invite deans/managing directors and executive representatives from our participating organizations, and from other organizations if regarded as important for making a difference and having and having an impact.

Conclusion No.3:
Important to set examples – do it ourselves; rather than just try to convince and change on-going processes and set systems; i. e. the GRLI group decides to carry out assessment and audits within itself and communicate the results and learning as powerful and wide as possible.

This is to be combined with a position paper by the steering committee; i.e. the high level panel.

Proposal for first step actions
A group from the GRLI identifies what persons and organisations that should be represented on the steering committee.

First tasks for the steering committee will be to define their ambition and to visualize the result of its work, and to plan the work process with the GRLI group and the EFMD network (members and allies) as resources.

The initiating group from the GRLI will propose the steering group and present a time plan at the end of the Assembly meeting in Paris, April 21-23.
